Case #2: Boris: Under-run Heels
Boris is a thoroughbred with a history of low under-run heels.
The traditional remedy - the wedge pad - never got him out of the
syndrome, the wedge pad just promoted continued crushing of the
heels. Click on the image below to see a "morph" of how
his foot changed once we got rid of the metal shoe and wedge pad
and put him in glued-on EponaShoes. Watch where the point of support
at the heel is before and after. This morph was made from two images
taken only 3 months apart...
