Case #3: "T": Low Heels, Flat Pedal Bone
This horse has a natural tendency to have a "low heel"
which of course affects the positioning of the P3 bone and navicular
bone. With judicious shoe placement and use of glue we have been
making improvements to the configuration of the bones within the
hoof. With the EponaShoe and our packing, this horse's P3 is now
well supported.
In the images below ( provided by www.eponatech.com
) are composites which show the bones (from radiographs) combined
with digital photos of the hoof. This technique provides an accurate
view as to where the bones are relative to the hoof.
