Case #4: Warmblood Founder / Laminitis
This horse's hoof had a "dead" look and feel after an
episode of laminitis. Getting the foot out of the metal shoe, and
into the flexible EponaShoe helped to get the hoof back in shape.
it is believed that the rigid metal shoe impairs the normal circulation
of nutrient-bearing blood in the hoof. The images below show the
changes that occured in 6 months. This horse is now under saddle
again.
