Case #5: Effect of Shoeing Systems
The images below are of the same hoof of the same horse over a
14 month span. Figure A is one type of metal shoe, figure B is another
type of metal shoe, and figure C is the EponaShoe.
First of all, its interesting and informative to realize how much
the hoof can change as a function of trimming and shoeing styles.
We think the shape and health of the foot look best in figure C,
but then, we are a little biased. In general, you should beware
of such images because, of course, many many factors go into why
a hoof may look the way it does -- but we think this is a pretty
interesting case!

Most important of all -- this horse is now sound every
day, which was not the case when images A and B were taken.
